HISTORY Sumotech was our direct response to the demand in the marketplace for a product with elastic, structural hold and memory without stiffness. It was not an attempt to make a variation of Sumowax; Sumotech simply fell into the Sumo category due to its holding power. Utilizing polymer technology, Sumotech offers similar benefits as Sumowax (hold, pliability), but also boosts volume and adds a lighter texture for finer hair types. Furthermore, our stylists wanted a product that would create “stretch” in the hair resulting in abnormal pliability and lasting memory in the hair.

WHAT A distant, contemporary offspring of traditional Sumowax and, like many of our products, a hybrid. It’s not a wax, not a paste and not a creme, but in some ways all of them.

OW Spread a dime-sized dab or two onto palms and work through barely damp or dry hair with fingers and style; work quickly and try not to overwork; spray down with Tonic Lotion to rework or to cut hold.
