HISTORY Tea Tree Oil, which inspired the development of Tonic Lotion, is an antiseptic known for its cleansing properties and is a fantastic detangler. When Tonic Lotion was introduced, our stylists were already using Prep as a cutting lotion because it is lighter than water, yet adds enough weight to see the cut as it evolves. Having similar properties, we created Tonic Lotion with our male clients in mind, as it is somewhat reminiscent of old-school barbers that used menthol, eucalyptus, camphor or pine-scented products.
